Fort Lauderdale-based Bergeron Properties & Investment Corp., has kicked off construction of a speculative distribution development in western Pembroke Pines. Called the Bergeron Distribution Center, the facility will be located at 19700 Stirling Road on a 9.1 acre site, just east of U.S. 27. Encompassing 170,373 sqf, the building will feature ceilings that are 32 feet high and tenant spaces as small as 21,950 square feet. This is the first phase of a business park development set to deliver 2.2 million square feet of space at a cost of $137 million. Itasca Construction, the general contractor for the project, expects to finish construction by the second quarter of 2017. Berger Commercial Realty agents Keith Graves and Greg Milopoulos have been tapped to market the development to prospective tenants.
