BGK to finance Bałtyk in Poznań

30 June 2014

Poland’s state-owned Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego (BGK) agreed to cofinance Bałtyk, a mixed-used project set to break ground in October in the city of Poznań. BGK agreed to provide PLN 65.8m for the scheme, which includes the revitalization of a transport hub in the center of Poznań. The remaining PLN 8.4m will be covered by the government’s JESSICA program (Joint European Support for Sustainable Investment in City Area). The investor has already secured a construction permit for the project, which is seen as a flagship investment for the city. The MVRDV architectural studio designed the 15,000 sqm project, which includes office and retail space and hotel.
