Following a heavy loss in the second quarter of the year, the Polish lender BGŻ posted a net profit of PLN 38m in the third quarter. The result, however, reflects a decrease compared with the same period last year. Month-on-month earnings for the bank reached PLN 776.6m so far this year, down from PLN 100.8m posted last year. The interest revenues reached PLN 764m at the end of September, up from PLN 598m posted last year. The company’s expenditures, however, increased in the third quarter, coming in at PLN 960m, compared with PLN 616m last year.
