East Bohemian Airport has extended the deadline for construction companies to submit bids for the construction of a new passenger terminal at the Pardubice airport. The CZK 300m project can now be bid upon until March 1. The company’s management explained the move by saying that the bids they’d received included a number of follow-up questions and said that the new deadline would give companies a better chance to provide serious bids. “Building an airport terminal is not something that just anyone can do,” said Hana Šmejkalová, a member of the board at East Bohemian Airport. “It’s a special project in its way and the restul will be seen as a good and an international advertisement for the builder.” The terminal is expected to cost roughly CZK 250m while completion of the access paths to runways will add another CZK 50m to the final price tag.
