Biedronka opened 20 more shops before Christmas

Biedronka has opened 20 shops across Poland before Christmas, both in large cities and smaller towns, the chain said. The opening hours of more than 3,100 outlets will also be extended.

In the final days leading up to the Christmas break, the Biedronka chain is opening a further 20 outlets for customers, 17 of which are brand new shops and three of which have been refurbished for customer convenience. The chain’s new shops opened on 18-21 December in the Mazowieckie, Podlaskie, Łódzkie, Podkarpackie, Lubuskie, Śląskie, Wielkopolskie, Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Pomorskie and Zachodniopomorskie provinces, it was reported.

“The run-up to Christmas is a time when, as every year, we make sure that customers can find all the products they need in Biedronka chain shops. With the end of November, we opened a 3500 shop in Skórzewo near Poznań, and in the last pre-Christmas week another 20 shops appeared on the map of Poland. With customers’ needs in mind, we are also extending our opening hours before Christmas – more than 3,100 outlets will be open on Saturdays at least until 11 p.m. to ensure convenient and fast shopping, without stress and queues,” said Biedronka’s chief operating officer and board member Paweł Stolecki.

Earlier, Biedronka announced that it had launched its 3,500th shop in Skórzew near Poznań. At the end of Q3 2023, the Biedronka chain in Poland had 3,473 outlets.
