Banks granted more loans to micro-entrepreneurs in terms of value (+ 67% y / y) and number (+ 63.8% y / y) in May 2021, the Credit Information Bureau reported (BIK).
In May 2021, compared to May 2020, banks granted much more loans to microenterprises, both in terms of numbers (+ 63.8%) and value (+ 67%). In terms of numbers, banks granted by (+ 78.3%) more overdrafts, (+ 19.3%) more working capital loans and less (-15.2%) investment loans. The value of loans granted in May 2021 increased compared to May 2020. investment by (+ 80.6%), overdraft facilities by (46.2%) and working capital by (+ 44.8%).
In May 2021, banks granted a total of 12,800 loans to micro-entrepreneurs, for the total amount of PLN 1.689 billion, including: 0.7 thousand investment loans in the amount of PLN 311 million, PLN 4.1 thousand working capital loans in the amount of PLN 692 million and 3.5 thousand. overdrafts in the amount of PLN 390 million, BIK reported.
In January-May 2021, banks in total granted to microenterprises 63,300 loans in the amount of PLN 8.248 billion. The number of loans granted in this period increased by 4.8% y / y, and their value by 10.6% y / y.
In May, the overall loan quality index (+0.09) worsened (increased) m / m, and the index improved (decreased) (-1.32) y / y and is at a relatively low level.
BIK reported that 12,800 loans granted to micro-entrepreneurs in May this year, 5.8 thousand. contracted by service companies (45.7%) and 3,200 commercial (25%).
“In May 2021, the highest y / y increases in the number of loans granted were related to the financing of construction (+ 70.9%). In the case of trade, the increase was (+ 64.0%), and services (+ 63.3%). recorded loans to micro-entrepreneurs from the production sector (+ 61.3%),” according to the report.
According to the Quality Index, the worst (the highest level of the index) was loan repayment by service companies in May 2021 – the index value was 5.27%; the best (lowest) reading in May this year. recorded the Quality Index of companies in the manufacturing sector and it was 4.26%, BIK reported
“Compared to May 2020, the index has improved (decreased) in all industries, the most in services (-1.56),” Bik reported.
