Industrial Energy, part of the Romenergo group, controlled by businessman Gheorghe Bîlteanu, intends to sell the energy infrastructure that supplies all factories on the IMGB platform in southern Bucharest, where they operate among the largest consumers of electricity in the Romanian economy.
The Italian group Enel is a potential buyer, according to market sources. Bîlteanu’s company also had discussions regarding the sale of the infrastructure to Enel in 2013 and 2017, but without success. The price of a possible transaction will be established following evaluations approved by the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE).
