Biomashinostroene secured a €4.5m loan from EBRD to expand of its operations. The company is the leading Bulgarian producer and exporter of steel equipment to the food processing, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. More than 90 percent of its products are exported to more than 20 countries in the EU and Middle East. The company is the main supplier to companies like Tetra Pak, GEA, Ferrero and Nestle. Biomashinostroene intends to use the EBRD funding to finance three new assembly workshops and warehouses. Biomashinostroene will join EBRD’s Blue Ribbon program that supports market leadership and growth through financial support and mentoring.
