Blue Rock Premier Properties acquires Jacksonville apartments

Blue Rock Premier Properties, based in Tampa, has acquired two apartment buildings in the Southside submarket of Jacksonville. The company picked up the the 284-unit Landmark at Hampshire Place on Belle Rive Blvd. along with the Landmark at Sage Commons, a 248-unit complex located on Southside Blvd. Blue Rock will invest $3.4 million in improvements to the properties and rebrand it as The Park at Potenza and The Park at Trapani, respectively. With this purchase the company now owns 1,572 apartment units in the greater Jacksonville area.“Our separate Jacksonville purchase is also significant in that it builds our stake in the fast growing market, having earlier purchased a $64.8 million, 1,040 unit portfolio there in October 2015,” said Blue Rock Premier Properties founder Randy Ferreira. “The Jacksonville market will continue to be a major focus for us in 2016 and beyond, as well as Tampa, Orlando and Fort Myers. Brian Moulder and Dhaval Patel, both executive vice presidents with CBRE Jacksonville brokered the deal.
