Bulgaria’s gross foreign debt totaled €33.87bn at the end of February, according to the central bank (BNB). The figure amounts to 73.1 percent of the country’s projected GDP for the year.
The preliminary debt calculation is 0.7 percent lower than it was at the end of 2015. Long-term debt totaled €26.11bn at the end of February, down 0.4 percent from the end of last year, while short-term foreign debt decreased by 1.6 percent to €7.76bn.
