BNP Paribas Bank Polska presented to the holders of Swiss franc loans 3,064 individual settlement proposals (as of April 30 this year), the bank said. The number of accepted negotiation proposals was 625.
From December 2021, the scope of the action of proposing settlements on terms individually negotiated with borrowers was expanded.
• The effects of negotiating settlements with customers as of April 30, 2022 (and February 25, 2022):
• 3,064 (1,917) individual settlement proposals presented to clients,
• 625 (373) accepted negotiation proposals, “we read in the presentation.
In the first quarter of 2022, the bank received 415 new lawsuits.
In 91 validly closed proceedings: 62 ended unfavorably for the bank, 21 claims were dismissed without declaring the invalidity of the contract, and in 8 cases the proceedings ended as a result of a settlement by the parties.
The provision for loans in CHF amounted to PLN 1,365 million at the end of Q1 2022 compared to PLN 1,290 million a quarter earlier and PLN 272 million a year earlier.
The increase in the provision in Q1 in 2022 resulted mainly from the updating of the parameters used by the bank in the adopted model.
