Bonafarm Group wants to buy Sága Foods, but negotiations over the deal are still happening. Bonafarm Group is a collection of Sándor Csányi’s agricultural interests, who in addition to being a Hungarian food industry magnate is also president of the biggest Hungarian commercial bank, OTP. Bonafarm consists of 11 companies and had €500m in revenues last year. Sága Food is Sárvár-based company, owned by the British Bernards Matthews Group and with its 800 employees is one of the country’s largest players on the Hungarian poultry products market.
