Consumer prices in Bosnia rose by 7.0 percent in January 2022, after an annual increase of 6.4 percent in December, according to the country’s statistical office.
In January, the average prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 11.9 percent year-on-year, prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco rose by an annual 0.5 percent, prices of housing and utilities went up 6.1 percent, and transport prices surged by 13.7 percent.
On a monthly comparison basis, consumer prices went up 1.0 percent in January, following a 0.7 percent increase in December.
Consumer prices in Bosnia rose by average annual 2.0 percent last year, after a decrease of 1 percent in 2020.
