Bosnia’s minister of finance, Vjekoslav Bevanda, signed a €150m agreement with the European Investment Bank to finance the Corridor 5C-Mostar South and Zenica North motorway projects. EU funds will also be used to build two motorway sections that are part of the pan-European corridor, which connects Hungary, eastern Croatia and Bosnia with the Adriatic Sea, near the Port of Ploce. The EIB has financed €2.5bn in various projects and invested around €700m in the western Balkan region, according to local news reports.
