Brasfield & Gorrie chosen for arena renovation at U. of Florida

The Jacksonville office of general contractor Brasfield & Gorrie has won a $64.5 million contract to renovate the Stephen C. O’Connell Center at the University of Florida in Gainesville. The scope of work will include a seating bowl update, the addition of premium seating areas, hanging a state of the art center scoreboard, and upgrading the team spaces and the concourse. Birmingham-based Davis Architects Inc. have been chosen as the architect for the project. Construction is slated for this fall and is expected to be completed in time for UF’s fall semester commencement in December 2016.
