The international airport in Bratislava saw its financial results improve greatly over 2013 according to the preliminary results for the company in 2014. The company’s gross profit jumped 45 percent compared to 2013. This improvement came despite the fact that Letiště M.R. Štefánika v Bratislavě handled just 1.35 million passengers, a drop of 1.3 percent compared to 2013. However, the airport is expected to have now hit bottom in terms of the number of passengers it serves, since several new routes have been added and with it, the passenger figures are expected to rise.
