Bratislava mayor pledges residential building program

Bratislava mayor Matúš Vallo has vowed to complete 700 municipal flat by the end of this election period in 2022. He told city deputies his priority was to deal with 301 requests for rental accommodations. The city is currently working on the reconstruction of 22 flats that it owns, writes Pravda, adding that the city intends to secure nearly 1250 rental apartments. “In the coming days, we’ll present a complete concept about how we want to get these flats,” said Vallo. At the same time, Bratislava is reviewing the criteria it uses in evaluating requests for housing. Vallo said that the city is planning to work together with six developers on building flats in eight locations.
