Bratislava prepares height regulations for high rises

24 October 2016

The city of Bratislava is preparing an urban study to determine where new high-rise buildings can be erected. “The height regulation means that we will choose several zones whose characteristics will include certain types of high rise structures,” said the city’s mayor Ivo Nesrovnal. He told the daily SME that the city needs height reulations in order to keep control of urban development and to ensure it takes place in a systematic manner. The regulations, which would have to be approved by the city council, will be the subject of a public discussion today. Objections to the plan will be accepted until November 25.
