The real estate market in Bratislava has bounced back from its lowest point in April when the impact of the pandemic was at its worst, according to a new report by Bencont Investments. The company writes that the the average flat price in the second quarter of the year reached €3,528 per square meter. That’s 17 percent higher than it was a year ago and 1.5 percent more than in the first quarter of 2020. The average size of available flats is 67 square meters and the average selling price for such units is a record-high €232,000, including VAT. New flats also rose in price by 15.2 percent year-on-year to €3,297 per square meter, and by 7.4 percent compared to the first quarter. Rudolf Bruchanik warned the daily Pravda that low levels of supply were likely to continue and that this would reduce the likelihood of sellers reducing their prices below current levels.
