Following his resignation from BRE Bank, the bank’s long-time president Mariusz Grendowicz is to take two supervisory board seats in two of the biggest financial companies in Poland. Grendowicz will take a seat on BRE Bank’s supervisory board, and has recently been asked to join the supervisory board of the insurer Aviva. The proposal is thought to raise Aviva’s position, claim some observers. “He’s a well-known and respectable name in the financial sector,” says the manager of one of the leading insurance companies in Poland.
