Brno plans to conduct a feasibility study in cooperation with Hyperloop Transportation Technology (HTT) on the possibility of a Hyperloop connection between Prague, Brno and Bratislava. The futuristic “tube” has yet to be tested anywhere in the world. The feasibility study could be completed this year following an agreement signed by HTT head Dirk Ahlborn and Brno Mayor Petr Vokřál. The Hyperloop system features a tube, in which capsules with passengers move in a vacuum environment at sonic speed. This means that people could travel from Prague to Brno in 20 minutes, which would strongly affect both property and labor markets.
