The number of office deals doubled from 36,077 sqm to 73,001 sqm in the first six months of the year in Bucharest’s Central-North area, according to a recent ESOP Consulting report. The city’s Central-West area came in second. Mirela Raicu, division manager for corporate offices at ESOP Consulting/CORFAC, said the total amount of space leased in the city during the first half of the year is about 450,000 sqm, forcing developers to lower rents by as much as 10 percent.
