Approximately 185,000 sqm of office space was added to the Bucharest market in the first six months of the year, with an additional 150,000 scheduled to come on-line by the end of 2019. More than 230,000 sqm are scheduled to be delivered next year. At this rate, the capital’s vacancy rate, which was 10 percent in June, could climb to 13 percent by the end of 2020, according to Collier International Romania, bringing the market value of office buildings down by as much as 5 percent. The city’s office supply is expected to reach 3.5 million sqm over the next year.
