Bucharest’s city council members have decided to take charge of completing the Tonitza Ensemble residential project. The project is located on Vitan Barzesti Boulevard.
The land, totalling 71,220 sqm, was given to the National Housing Agency (ANL) in 2001 for the construction of homes for young people. However, due to a lack of funding, ANl was only able to complete three housing blocks on 12,673 sqm of land before construction stopped. The remaining land is now in the hands of Bucharest authorities, who will oversee completion of the project.
In all, Tonitza Ensemble is suppoed to include 828 apartments in 19 housing blocks. There will also be 200 parking places.
