Bulgaria’s GDP declined by 1.8% year-on-year in Q1/ 2021

Bulgaria’s economic output declined by 1.8 percent year-on-year in the first quarter of 2021, after an annual decrease of 3.8 percent in the previous quarter, according to the National Statistical Institute (NSI).

On a quarterly comparison basis, Bulgaria’s GDP went up 2.5 percent in the January-March period of 2021, after a 2.2 percent increase in the fourth quarter of 2020.

GDP totalled LEVA 27.05 billion ( EUR 13.8 billion) at current prices in the review period.
