GP Group, Global Construction and Via Plan signed a €94.8m contract with the Bulgarian road agency to build a 2 km tunnel along the Struma motorway. Completion of the Zheleznitsa tunnel is scheduled for December 2023. The project, which will go up in four stages, will be partially financed by the EU Cohesion Fund, while the majority of he cost will come from Bulgaria’s national budget. The Struma motorway connects Sofia and Kulata.
