More Bulgarians are vacationing abroad with the latest figures from the National Statistics Office showing a 20.7-percent increase y-o-y in June. The most popular destinations include Austria, which saw 99.2 percent more Bulgarian tourists than June 2015.
Germany came in second (50.8 percent), followed by Romania (23.3 percent), Greece (22 percent), Serbia (17.6 percent), Spain (13.2 percent) and Italy (3.6 percent). By comparison, there was a decrease in the number of Bulgarian tourists to Russia (6.3 percent), Turkey (2 percent) and France (1.6 percent).
