The number of the trips taken abroad by Bulgarian residents increased by 9.2 percent y-o-y in July, according to the National Statistics Institute. Popular destinations included the Czech Republic, Romania, Spain, the UK, Austria and Italy.
By comparison, fewer Bulgarians traveled to Turkey, Ukraine and Russia during the month, according to the figures. The number of foreign visitors to Bulgaria, meanwhile, increased by 14.7 percent y-o-y in July.
