BVK buys Bonn flats from Instone off plan

15 May 2018

Instone Real Estate Group has sold 158 units currently in planning at its west.side site in Bonn to Bayerische Versorgungskammer (BVK). The two companies also reached agreement on 118 privately financed and subsidized flats plus a nursery that are part of the same project. BVK made the acquisition on behalf of its pension fund Bayerische Ärzteversorgung. Instone is in the process of developing over 550 rental and owner owner-occupied units at the 60,000 sqm site in the Endenich district. There will be an additional 40,000 square meters of floor space for commercial use. The new district is intended to retain some of the characteristics of the site’s industrial history through the conversion of former factory buildings. The first package of residential units that BVK acquired includes 158 privately financed flats at the MI 5 / MI 6 construction site with units measuring 50–130 square meters and a total residential area of roughly 14,000 square meters. The 5–6 storey complex with a loose perimeter structure and a green courtyard is made up of 3 modules that are each comprised of 11 detached houses.
