By the end of the year, Poland will also stop importing liquefied gas, i.e. LPG, from Russia, according to the statements of the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of State Assets Jacek Sasin. Currently, LPG imports are 2,040 million tonnes, 65% of which comes from Russia.
“Domestic production is 530 thousand tons and it is about 20% of the demand for this raw material in Poland. We are intensively increasing this production capacity at the moment, but it will take several more months. these are imports largely from Russia, 65% of these imports come from Russia,” Sasin said in the Sejm.
“Today we are working on eliminating this Russian component from this import as soon as possible,” he added.
Referring to the statement of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, he assured that “by the end of this year Poland will stop importing any energy resources from Russia”.
