Following the merger between BZ WBK and Kredyt bank, it’s been announced that up to 50 branches could be closed in 2012. Under the terms of the deal, the chain is expected to grow to 800 of the bank’s own branches and 100 franchised units, according to Mateusz Morawiecki, BZ WBK president. He added that offices which are located located in close proximity to each other will be closed. Information about the employee reductions has not been disclosed yet, though the bank claims only that it has frozen jobs for now.
