Ash Properties has signed an agreement with Choice Hotels International for the development of a Cambria Hotel in Jacksonville, Florida. Located in the Baymeadows area of the city, the new project will be close to the FBI’s regional offices, the University of North Florida, Deutsche Bank, Ernst & Young, the Mayo Clinic and Baptist Hospital. The five-story 132-room property will feature spa-style bathrooms with Bluetooth mirrors, 2,500 sq ft of multi-functional meeting space and an outdoor swimming pool. The hotel is slated for completion in 2020.
“The Cambria Hotels brand is a great fit for Jacksonville, the fifth-fastest growing city in the United States and a major economic driver for the region’s 1.5 million residents,” said Mark Shalala, vice president of franchise development at Choice Hotels. “Choice Hotels continues to expand the Cambria brand in markets where business and leisure demand is strong, and the southeast region of the country, especially Jacksonville, is another key location to add to our growing portfolio.”
