Cancellations rising at Belgrade hotels as virus returns

9 July 2020

Occupancy levels at Belgrade hotels on July 1 was 16.1 percent, but this wasn’t the best result in the country. That honor went to Novi Sad, which achieved 19.4 percent occupancy, far outshining its regional rival Nis which managed just a miserable 6.5 percent.

The data was released by the Serbian Association of Hoteliers and Restaurateurs. The average utilization of city restaurants is 20 to 25 percent. The hotels association notes that in recent days, large numbers of cancellations have been sent as the number of cases of coronavirus infection rises again.
