Capital One has hired Evan Williams as senior vice president of originations. In his new role, Williams will focus on affordable housing properties, originating Fannie Mae DUS, Freddie Mac Targeted Affordable Housing, and FHA loans nationally. Prior to joining Capital One, Williams worked for seven years at Prudential Mortgage Capital Co. on multifamily financing and served as vice president of Hunt Mortgage Group, formerly Centerline Capital Group. Williams holds a B.S. degree in economics from Georgetown University and will be based in New York, reporting to Finance Executive Vice President Jeff Lee.
