BIK S.A.’s new development in its Silesian Logistics Park has secured a 9,000 sqm pre-lease for with CAT LC Polska Sp. z o.o., the experienced logistics operator belonging to the French Groupe CAT, an international conglomerate. The project will convert a brown field into a sustainable, BREEAM certified, modern logistics asset, equipped with photovoltaic installation and electric vehicle charging points, and is planned to be completed in beginning of 2025.
The cross-dock BTS facility will be designed and built according to the individual requirements of CAT LC Polska who actively participates in adapting the facility to its business requirement.
‘We are very pleased with the signed agreement and the opportunity to offer our modern warehouse and office space to a new tenant. The planned expansion of the Sosnowiec warehouse park is part of our mission to create logistics facilities that are in line with the Sustainable Development and will ensure the further development of our company.’- said Artur Kuliński, CEO of BIK S.A.
‘One of the reasons why we chose our new platform in Sosnowiec is its excellent location, which will allow us to further streamline our logistics processes. By developing the infrastructure and consolidating our two current warehouses in the Zagłębie area, Groupe CAT will have the opportunity to develop not only the distribution network, but also inbound logistics, thus increasing its competitiveness in the market. This decision is a symbolic confirmation of the stability and long-term development of the company, as well as part of our infrastructure development strategy. The facility will play a fundamental role in our transport network in Poland, which will enable the company to expand into the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria and Hungary and become our southern hub for Groupe CAT in Central and Eastern Europe.’ – added Tomasz Zarzycki, Groupe CAT Central and Eastern Europe Region Director.
BIK Park Sosnowiec III is located in the immediate vicinity of the intersection of two key thoroughfares – the A4 freeway connecting Rzeszów with the western border of Poland and the eastern bypass of Silesia – the S1 Expressway leading through Cieszyn to southern Europe, as well as past the Jaworzno Economic Area and upcoming Izera electric car factory.
