The biggest players currently on the Budapest office market are IT companies, replacing banks which dominated the sector before the financial crisis hit, according to a recent CBRE report. The IT sector steadily increased its share of net leases on the city’s office market between 2012 and 2015. Many ICT companies expanded last year, with Telekom, Ericsson and Nokia signing some of the biggest deals. Central and noncentral Pest, South Buda and Váci út continue to be the top office destinations for IT companies, according to CBRE.
