CEDEM 2015 is taking place in Prague at Slovanský dům in Na příkopě Street on 16 – 17 September 2015. This professional conference is aimed at the real estate market in Central and Eastern Europe. CBRE, the global leader in the commercial real estate services sector, is the general partner of this important event.
How strong is the real estate market throughout Europe? Where to go and how to meet the objectives of the investors and tenants? On the one hand the European market is experiencing an unprecedented investment boom, while on the other hand there is still a certain degree of wariness about the future. Is this a normal reaction by a market that has underwent a marked financial crisis in previous years? Or is it driven by other causes, for example unnaturally low interest rates, deflation or political unrest?
These questions and more await an answer at the biggest international meeting of real estate investors, developers, financiers and real estate professionals in this field in Central Europe. Some of the leading personalities from the European real estate scene will be speaking there, including Richard Curran, Managing Director of CBRE in the Czech Republic and Neil Blake, Head of EMEA Research at CBRE. The organiser of the conference is the publishing house Roberts Publishing Media Group.
As the general partner, CBRE will start presenting at the CEDEM Breakfast Presentation with their speaker Neil Blake, Head of EMEA Research at CBRE, who will talk about the economic revival of the European market and the investment boom and further discuss the question of what this recovery will bring for the commercial real estate market in Central Europe. Neil Blake, who served in the Department of Economic Analysis at Oxford Economics, has more than 25-years experience with economic modelling, forecasting and analysing real estate. Neil has worked on a wide range of global projects at IPF and RICS, while at CBRE he runs the real estate performance outlook department in the field of strategic investments in the EMEA region.
Richard Curran and Jeff Alson will contribute with their experience in panel discussions at the largest international real estate event in the region. Richard Curran will join discussions within a panel entitled “Industrial Fight Club: How can yields fall if rents aren’t rising? Do investors really know what they’re buying?” on 16 September from 11:40 to 12:20, while Jeff Alson is appearing in a panel named ‘Drowning in equity: How low-leverage deals are changing the face of Europe´s investment market’ on 16 September from 10:40 to 11:20.
