Hungary is planning to adopt the Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technology. CCS is a new technology attempting to prevent release of large quantities of CO2 into the atmosphere from fossil fuel use in power generation and other industries. In order to adopt the technology different law modifications must be done. This law is planned to become operative in May, 2012, according to the Minsitry of National Development.
