CEFC acquired a 10-percent stake in Travel Service. The Chinese investor wants to gradually acquire a 50-percent stake in the private Czech air carrier and started due diligence, writes ČTK. The price of the transaction was not disclosed. Travel Service has a 34-percent stake in the Czech Airlines.
One of the largest businesses in Shanghai, CEFC has chosen the Czech Republic as its European headquarters. The Chinese group also recently bought the Slavia football club, the Lobkowicz brewery, Médea Group and Empresa Media as well as two flagship properties in Prague: the former Živnobanka building and Martinický palace.
