According to a recent report from Dodge Data & Analytics, residential and commercial construction projects in Central Florida were up significantly in 2015. The $6.9 billion in total value between January and December 2015 represents a 51 percent increase from the $4.6 billion reported in 2014. Permits for commercial projects (including office, retail, hotels, warehouses) doubled from $1.1 billion in 2014 to $2.2 billion in 2015. Homebuilding also increased 36 percent to $4.7 billion in value, up from 3.5 billion in 2014.
