Central Group has bought a portion of the land at the former Žižkov cargo train station in Prague 3 from Discovery Group. The UK developer had planned to build a shopping center, a hotel and flats on the site. Central Group bought project, which has a valid planning permit, and its spokeswoman Marcela Fialková told CIJ that construction could get underway in a year on the residential portion which enables for building 250 flats. The developer will still have to secure a construction permit. Fialková also said that the developer has no intention of building the planned hotel or the shopping center on the site. The price of the transaction was not disclosed.
