Central Group is planning to build a new residential neighborhood called Parková čtvrť on a 128,000 sqm brownfield site it bought from Discovery Group at the Žižkov Cargo Railway Station in Prague 3. The developer has partnered with the renowned Czech architect Jakub Cigler, who designed the urban concept and will oversee the whole project. Central Group plans to engage more architects, who should design different blocks and phases. The architects will be chosen in an architectural workshop. Parková čtvrť is expected to offer 2,100 to 2,600 flats in semi-closed blocks similar to the architecture style seen in Vinohrady and Žižkov with shops and restaurants on the ground floor. Work should get underway in 2019. Costs are estimated to be in the vicinity of CZK 9bn.
