Central Group has invited 11 top studios to submit new designs for Rezidence Park Kavčí Hory, which the developer bought from Hochtief Development two years ago. The winning design will be announced in early October. Studios participating in the competition include Radan Hubička, Josef Pleskot, Cigler Marani Architects, A.D.N.S., Aulík Fišer Architekti, CMC, Šafr Hájek, Kuba & Pilař Architekti, Petr Hlaváček and ADR.
The original design included 450 units in long, low-to-the ground housing blocks. Milan Jankovský, head of marketing and sales at Central Group, says the developer decided to completely redesign the scheme to include just a few tall buildings with retail and services on the ground floor. Dušan Kunovský, head of Central Group, says the project must be changed to better suit the location and offer a higher quality of living even if it makes the planning process more difficult.
