Century 21’s Czech boss fired

28 June 2018

Two top managers at the Czech branch of Century 21 have stepped down following the end of negotiations over the potential sale of the master franchise. Lubomir Milek was removed from his post as general director, writes Hospodářské noviny, while its executive director Štěpan Gjurič subsequently decided to leave the company. The master franchise for Century 21 in the Czech Republic is held by the company All Done, which is part of the financial group RSBC Robert Schonfeld. Schonfeld told HN that one of the reasons for the decision for Milek’s removal were his separate real estate investment activities. “That’s also where he directed most of his energy,” said Shonfeld. “And there wasn’t time for running the Century 21 headquarters.” Milek rejects the charge, pointing out that he opened 19 new branches of the company around Czechia.
