China Construction Bank (CCB) is planning to enter the Czech market in the short-term. The bank wants to open a branch in Prague with the goal of attracting Chinese investors to the Czech Republic and supporting Czech export to China, according to the Czech Finance Ministry. The bank plans to target Czech clientele and offer financing for large infrastructure projects. CCB is the second large Chinese bank to enter the Czech market. Bank of China is preparing to open a branch in Prague. Both banks are already active in other EU countries.
