China Huadian Engineering will invest in a new energy plant in South West Romani with a capacity of 250-300 MW. Parliamentary deputy Rodin Traicu said the investment is worth $300m and should create around 500 new jobs, while significantly increasing the production of electric energy at the thermal power plant.
China Huadian Engineering also intends to upgrade the infrastructure for lignite strip mining activities in the same region, Traicu said.
