A planned thermal space project by Czech and Chinese investors in Pasohlávky continues to wait for approval. The 20 hectare project is expected to be built in 2 years once approved. The health spa would feature a four star hotel along with 42 houses whose approval appears to be the biggest barrier to construction.
The project is expected to cost about CZK 2.5bn, of which CZK 2bn will be financed by Chinese company RiseSun. “Spa care in Pasohlávky will focus on the treatment of locomotive and skin diseases as well as neurological complaints and respiratory diseases,” said Martin Itterheim, Thermal Pasohlavky’s board chaiman. “We believe that elements of traditional Chinese medicine will appropriately complement this treatment.” The Prasohlávky health care center should create more than 500 jobs and will have a capacity of around 2,000 patients.
