Companies with dominant share of Chinese capital show increased interest in industrial real estate in the Czech Republic, according to CBRE. The majority of the investments are targeting automotive, electronics and e-commerce sectors. BWI Group and Hisense Companies are examples of companies locating their production plants in the Czech Republic. “Overall, 80,000 sqm of industrial space has been leased since January 2015, of which 49 thousand sqm accounts for 2016 alone. Currently, we are recording additional demand and we expect the lease of at least another 70,000 sqm by the end of the year,” says Michal Bezděka, Head of Industrial at CBRE. Panattoni is developing the first industrial building for BWI Group in its Panattoni Park Cheb in cooperation with Accolade. The Chinese automotive supplier will lease 16,000 sqm in the park and create 300 jobs.
