Greek bakery chain Chipita is planning to build a new plant to produce sweet and salty pastries near Dunajska Streda in Slovakia. The company will invest €63m into the new greenfield plant and plans to create 600 new jobs. The project includes manufacturing premises as well as office and storage space and an energy center. The new plant with four production lines will go up on a 7.5 ha site. Construction is to start in Q2 2018, with completion to follow 12 months later. The plant is expected to produce 72,200 tons of food annually.
