The life insurance company CIG Pannonia is making inroads into the Hungarian health insurance market. The company is currently only offering treatments through partnership with American company Best Doctors. But Béla Horváth, president of Pannonia, said the company aspires to obtain a bigger chunk of the country’s HUF 400bn health insurance market. Through its partnership with Best Doctors, Pannonia claims it will be able to offer a wider selection of physicians. Best Doctors’ president Frank Ahedo said that the company currently has no other Hungarian partners.
